configure FTP user permissons

configure FTP user permissons

Hello,

is it possible to configure FTP user permissions trough Virtualmin gui ? Each time I create a new FTP user I am not able to create the folders or upload a files using new created user...

Howdy,

It sounds like what you may want to do is create a "Website Access" user.

To do that, you can go into Edit Users -> Add a website FTP access user.

That user would have write permissions to the public_html folder.

ok, so FTP user is only "read-only" user ?

Well, by default, they wouldn't have permission to upload files to the public_html folder (though they can upload files to their own folders).
