ClamAV update - problem

Hi,

I am trying to update my clamav.

yum update
Setting up Update Process
Resolving Dependencies
--> Running transaction check
---> Package clamav.i386 0:0.97.4-1.el5.rf set to be updated
---> Package clamav-db.i386 0:0.97.4-1.el5.rf set to be updated
--> Processing Conflict: clamav-filesystem conflicts clamav > 0.97.3-1.vm.el5.centos
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
clamav-filesystem-0.97.3-1.vm.el5.centos.i386 from installed has depsolving problems
  --> clamav-filesystem conflicts with clamav
Error: clamav-filesystem conflicts with clamav

From what I have been able to find out this could be a repository conflict problem, but from what I can see clamav-filesystem-0.97.3-1.vm.el5.centos.i386 comes from centos and my current clamav is 0.97.3-1.vm.el5.centos come from virtualmins repository??

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry if this is a stupid question...

Howdy,

It looks like you have a third party repository setup there, the RPMForge repository.

Unfortunately, the packages in it conflict with those provided by Virtualmin (and in particular, the ClamAV packages).

What you'd need to do is to remove the ClamAV packages that you have installed that came from RPMForge, disable the RPMForge repository, and then reinstall ClamAV.

Eric,

Thanks for the help I got it sorted out! My eyes kept missing the repo - its disabled now and all is well!

Thanks
