Virtualmin -> Server Configuration -> DNS Records, changes are not applied automaticly

Hi,

When are customers make changes to their DNS zone using 'Virtualmin -> Server Configuration -> DNS Records' the changes don't get applied automatically. Is this normal behavior? Do when need the refresh BIND every hour or so, or should these changes be applied directly and is there something missing in our config?

Howdy,

Those should be active immediately... I just ran a test on my system here, and they were indeed active after saving them.

Which distro/version is it that you're using, and what Virtualmin version do you have?

We're running Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS with Virtualmin 3.90 Pro

Is is possible that Virtualmin tries to use RNDC to trigger the BIND update? If so, and RNDC isn't set up correctly, that might be the reason why changes aren't applied.
