I have just upgraded my Webmin installation to 1.570. However, there seems to be issues with my Apache version 2.2.19 now. Webmin doesn't seem to think Apache is running and is giving me the "Start Apache" link now. Apache is definitely running though.
When I try to "Start Apache", I get these errors: Failed to start apache :
Starting web server: apache2Warning: SuexecUserGroup directive requires SUEXEC wrapper. Warning: SuexecUserGroup directive requires SUEXEC wrapper. Warning: SuexecUserGroup directive requires SUEXEC wrapper. Warning: SuexecUserGroup directive requires SUEXEC wrapper. Warning: SuexecUserGroup directive requires SUEXEC wrapper. The Apache error log may have more information. failed!
The same thing happens if I manually ssh in and do a /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
Did the webmin upgrade change something it shouldn't have in the Apache configuration? What should I do?
OK - apparently Apache isn't running anymore. I am trying to investigate further...
The Apache was an issue due to something else. Apache is back up and running. The /etc/init.d/apache2 restart works fine now in the console. However, Webmin still doesn't seem to think Apache is running. This isn't as big of a deal anymore, as it seems Apache is running fine again, but there is still that one issue...
Howdy,
So that's all working now, except that it shows Apache as not running?
If you look in Webmin -> Servers -> Apache -> Module Config -> System Configuration, what is "Path to Apache PID file" set to?
-Eric
Right.
Path to Apache PID file is set to "Work out automatically".
