These forums are locked and archived, but all topics have been migrated to the new forum. You can search for this topic on the new forum: Search for Setting up new server, what options do I shoose in Centos install? on the new forum.
I found this:
"Should I install Apache, Postfix, MySQL, Dovecot, etc. before I run install.sh?
No. The install script runs best on a freshly installed Grade A supported Operating System."
What does that mean? What options do I check off when installing Centos (5.6 x64)?
e.g. there are all sorts of options like, Applications, Development, Servers(and lots of options in there as well), Base System, etc.
I basically unchecked everything and it is installing now. I guess I'll find out. :) Is BIND installed with Virtualmin? I left it out...
Howdy,
I'd suggest just doing a base CentOS install, with no additional packages... and anything Virtualmin needs, that'll get installed when you run the install.sh script.

Thanks a bunch. What is a base install? Does that mean don't check or uncheck anything?
While any of those would work, my suggestion would be to perform an install that includes as few packages as possible. The installer will then pull in whatever it needs.
