Error - Perl execution failed

I installed phpmyadmin and I seem to see this error

Can't locate JSON.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/share/webmin /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.1 /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.10 /usr/share/perl/5.10 /usr/local/lib/site_perl . /usr/share/webmin/) at ./virtualmin-phpmyadmin-lib.pl line 3. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at ./virtualmin-phpmyadmin-lib.pl line 3. Compilation failed in require at /usr/share/webmin/virtualmin-phpmyadmin/index.cgi line 3.

phpmyadmin did kind of work but on export I keep getting

export.php: Missing parameter: what (FAQ 2.8)

Thanks

Howdy,

Well, what you pasted in is a Perl error (the can't locate JSON.pm), but phpMyAdmin is written in PHP. Where exactly are you seeing that error?

Now, as far as "export.php: Missing parameter: what (FAQ 2.8)" -- there's a number of references to that on Google, each containing different solutions :-/

First, you may want to take a look at phpMyAdmin's FAQ 2.8 as it suggests, you may see something in there that will help.

Also, depending on the authentication mode you have setup, you may want to try clearing the cookies from your browser (or trying a different browser altogether).

Yup I fix the export part :)

The perl part was clicking on the phpmyadmin link in webmin But It seems to be fixed now

What I did was reinstall phpmyadmin and it "seemed" to have fixed it

It's not possible to use phpMyAdmin to make new databases... the database users you have aren't setup with the ability to create new databases. And even if they were, if you created new DB's using phpMyAdmin, they wouldn't be under Virtualmin's control.

The only way to make new databases that are associated with your user accounts in Virtualmin is to actually create them within Virtualmin. You can do that in Edit Databases -> Create a new database.

Eric Ive got this again

webmin >> Others >> Virtualmin phpMyAdmin

Error - Perl execution failed

Can't locate JSON.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/share/webmin /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.1 /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.10 /usr/share/perl/5.10 /usr/local/lib/site_perl . /usr/share/webmin/) at ./virtualmin-phpmyadmin-lib.pl line 3. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at ./virtualmin-phpmyadmin-lib.pl line 3. Compilation failed in require at /usr/share/webmin/virtualmin-phpmyadmin/index.cgi line 3.

Am also getting

Internal Server Error's all over my sites :(

Well, those two issues wouldn't be related. To figure out why you're sites are receiving 500 errors, you'd want to take a look at your Apache logs, located in $HOME/logs/error_log. That file would contain any errors that are occurring.

As far as the JSON.pm error goes -- that just means you need the JSON Perl package. You can install that by going into Webmin -> Others -> Perl Packages, and have it install the package named "JSON".

Tons and tons of "od_fcgid:" errors

Yeah, that's just a typo on my part, Perl Modules is right.

As far as the errors you're getting -- that's an awful lot of noise your app is generating. However, I believe you can ignore anything with "PHP Notice" in it, those should just be warnings.

The issue you'd want to look into is this:

[Sun Apr 10 05:10:31 2011] [error] [client 199.27.130.77] (5)Input/output error: access to /booru/images/54/5460cc249ab7e117e84a8be6d84dfb17 failed

You may want to verify that your web app has permissions to read and write to that directory.

as for the perl mods I have nothing in there called JSON

Thanks

Hmm, well, a read-only filesystem is certainly no good :-)

If you log into your server as root over SSH, and type the command "mount", what do you see?

Also, what output do you get if you type this command:

dmesg | tail -30

Hrm, so what sort of server do you have? Is it a dedicated server? A VPS? And who manages the hardware, is it you or your provider?

The above information suggests you could be having some sort of disk problem.

With the fact that your one filesystem is giving you errors about being read-only, and your dmesg output is filled with disk errors -- it might be time to have someone take a look at what's going on with the disks and/or controller :-)
