problem with Viurtualmin and virtual servers

I am a newbie and I was trying to create a new virtual server. it looked like everything was okay but I knew the clamav wasn't but I thought that it would be fine without clamav for a test server for the moment. When I tried to go back to Virtualmin through the web browser after saving the virtual server Virtualmin now will not come up. I am using this on a Ubuntu 8.04 server which is remote and a virtual server for web hosting. The error message I got was:

Maybe the Webmin daemon got stopped somehow.

You might log on to the server via SSH and see if /etc/init.d/webmin start fixes the problem.

What was wrong with ClamAV?
