Websites backup taken in account in bandwitdh stats

Hello,

Am I right by saying that the traffic used during the backup process is taken is account in the bandwidth stats ?

Is there a way to change that behavior to remove the traffic from the backups ?

Thanks,

Thomas

Howdy,

Bandwidth is calculated per-Virtual Server based on web usage (from the access_log), ftp usage (from /var/log/proftpd/proftpd.log), and email usage (/var/log/maillog).

However, outgoing traffic for backups shouldn't be included as part of any of the above, since it's not part of any of the above mentioned logs.

Hello,

sorry for the delay, I totally forgot to check out for an answer.

Looks like the backup traffic is ftp, and is taken in account in the whole calculation :

here is a capture : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/332630/pics/backuptraffic.JPG

thx

Thomas
