Pulling Data from central database in Virtualmin

Previously on the old dedicated server all the satellite sites could interact perfectly with the central CMS . The central CMS houses all the scripts and is a central management point for the whole system. Satellite sites call functions and content from the central database.

Since we moved to cloud hosting, any new virtual servers we add cannot interact with the central CMS due to a permissions issues which we cannot identify on our side - it may be something to do with security protocols on the cloud server.

Solutions: a) change the security permissions to allow this b) migrate back to the old server

Which do you recommend...

Secondly, how can be stop mail being routed internally by the server...
