help for newbies moderated?

I've posted replies in a thread I started, but I got a message they had to be moderated?

Is that new? (Can't remember having had to wait before a reply got posted to the board.)

I didn't think the forum here had any sort of moderation enabled. But I'll ask Joe about it :-) Can you give a link to the thread where some of your replies were moderated?

Yep it was in this thread. I've added two posts (if I'm not mistaken), and at both I got the 'moderation' message which surprised me:
