but not sure if every thing is alright
when installing I had a few warning . Can you please check it for me and tell me if I am ok if I go ahead with using virualmin or do I need to install again?
Please see the attached txt file
Ok here it is
========================== Welcome to the Virtualmin GPL installer, version 1.0.4
The installation is quite stable and functional when run on a freshly installed supported Operating System, but upgrades from existing .wbm- based systems, or systems that already have Apache VirtualHost directives or mail users, will very likely run into numerous problems. Please read the Virtualmin Administrators Guide before proceeding if your system is not a freshly installed and supported OS.
This script is not intended to update your system! It should only be used to install Virtualmin, on a supported OS. If you have previously installed Virtualmin via this script or the GPL version of this script, upgrades and updates should be handled within Virtualmin itself. Once Virtualmin is installed, you never need to run this script again.
The systems currently supported by install.sh are: CentOS 4 and 5 on i386 and x86_64 Debian 4.0 and 5.0 on i386 and amd64 Ubuntu 8.04 LTS and 10.04 LTS on i386 and amd64
If your OS is not listed above, this script will fail. More details about the systems supported by the script can be found here:

Can you please put the entire log in
tags? It's very hard to read it like it is now. :)
That's a strange set of messages you're seeing... it looks like yum spent much of the time during the installation fighting with another yum process. Almost like two installations were running simultaneously, but I'm not sure :-)
What I'd do is check to see if Webmin/Virtualmin/Usermin is running on your server... if you run this command, what output do you get:
ps auxw | grep miniserv
That should show a couple of processes, which would mean that the daemons were installed and running.

Is it possible that some step of the installation script left a (maybe hanging) yum instance behind and continued with its work, consequently running into conflicts?
Andrewcheck
this is what I see when I run that command
ps auxw | grep miniserv
root 3386 0.0 0.1 61204 644 pts/0 D+ 03:16 0:00 grep miniserv root 8621 0.0 1.6 110628 8492 ? Ss Nov12 0:00 /usr/bin/perl /usr/libexec/webmin/miniserv.pl /etc/webmin/miniserv.conf
Yup, looks like Webmin is running!
So if you browse to port 10000 on your server, and log in as root, do you see the Virtualmin interface there?
In theory, if the installation script failed, it should have bailed out early, displaying a "Failed" message of some kind at the end.
Even with all the odd messages during your install, it would appear as if the installation were successful -- especially seeing that Webmin's miniserv.pl process is running.
-Eric
Then again... the log rather reads like the script tried to execute two yum actions at the same time, which sure doesn't work, but the second instance was polite enough to wait for the first to finish and release the PID file lock, and afterwards continued and did its thing, ultimately leading to install success. :)
Yes I can see virtual min and web min and it seems working no problem so you guys mean there is no way for me to confirm until some day i come up with some thing?
I thought we just did confirm :-)
If the installation script completed, and says "Successful" -- that's generally a sign that things are fine. If there was an unsolvable problem, it would have stopped mid-installation, and said "Failed".
If you'd like further confirmation, you can log into Virtualmin, click System Settings, and choose "Re-Check Configuration".
That'll run through a series of checks to make sure everything appears normal.
-Eric
to me it looks like low ram on a vps and a service throttling the ram, so the installation is able to continue
