hi, when i have a hosting pack for a user, set to max 100mb disk quota, and there are a few mails with large attachments or something, and the account has 100mb saved to the disk, the user cant recieve mail anymore. where can i set it, just like i can on the bandwith, that the user may exceed the quota, and u only get an notification mail about the fact that a user exceeds his disk quota? i cant say to my customer: yeah, you didn't recieve that important mail from your client, becouse your account is full... they pay me for a stable service.... One possible way might be to adjust the used Server Template, section Administration user. There you can set the Disk quota type to Soft (advisory only).
By default this value is set to Hard (enforce), which results in the behavior you described.
I'm not sure though right now how the "advisory" is performed. I don't think you get an email when the quota is exceeded, but you can see all quotas on the System Information screen, with the exceeded ones marked.

Quota notifications can be setup in Limits and Validation -> Disk Quota Monitoring.
Note that the "Thresholds" field can accept multiple parameters, so you can notify users at 75, 90, and 100% if you wanted.

Is is possible that "Disk Quota Monitoring" is a Pro feature? I can't seem to find that option in the GPL version.

That is indeed possible!
My apologies, I have a bear of a time keeping track of what features are in Pro vs GPL :-)
So yeah, that likely means you can only receive automated emails when using Pro.
It would be possible to write something to handle that using the Virtualmin command line tools (run "virtualmin" from the command line to see the options).

I have a simple solution concerning your "bear of a time" there, Eric: Make all features available in GPL. ;-)
thats a good one Locutus :D i'll let my system administrator look at this... he has paid, but dont know if thats the pro version then, thanks for the tips. Bart
