Hey guys,
Have been using webmin+virtualmin since a while and Im currently experiencing some weird issue, when sending email from my squirrelmail panel, the email gets sent as user.domain@domain.com and Im not sure why the user.domain doesnt get translated to user.
Email using a SMTP client (thunderbird) send/receive works just fine. Im using Webmin+VirtualMin+Postfix
Thank you in advance!
Howdy,
Well, in Thunderbird, the user manually sets the name of the "From" address... in Squirrelmail, I believe that's the simplest way to do that, having the users set their from address in the Squirrelmail preferences when they log in.
Without manually setting it, it's difficult to know what email address to use for a given user.
That said, there are plugins on the Squirrelmail website that attempt to figure out what a users email address is -- take a peek at the virtual hosting related plugins, perhaps one there will do the trick for you.

hello,
Thanks for replying. The thing is I have other servers with cPanel and Plesk and I dont have to setup this on squirrelmail, mail goes through just fine without it.
