Network Interfaces - Type

I have a couple of additional IP addresses. Looking at network interfaces in webmin, what is the difference between: (Virtualmin)
Ethernet (Virtual)

Hrm, I'm not sure where you're seeing that :-)

If you wanted to add a new interface to your system for one of those IP addresses, you could go into Webmin -> Networking -> Network Configuration -> Network Interfaces, and choose "Add a new interface".

Another option, if you wanted to use those IP's for one Virtual Server in particular, would be to go into Edit Virtual Server -> IP address and interfaces, and add a new Virtual Interface for that particular domain.

Hrm, I never noticed that before now :-)

I suspect "Virtual" is used if the IP isn't in use with Virtualmin, or perhaps isn't setup as a shared or dedicated IP in Virtualmin.

Though I'm sort of guessing here :-)

aha! that might be it - I haven't re-allocated servers to one of the IP's since my reinstall! I will have a look and let you know what happens!
