stmp server

Dear Support how can i fix the following errors, how can i fix stmp connection error,my port #25 is open????thank you

DNS resolution mismatch ushoster.info resolved to 71.183.250.107 instead of the expected 192.168.1.101 Check with your DNS registrar that the nameservers for the domain are set correctly, and that the IP address in your DNS records is correct. Nameserver mismatch None of the nameservers match this system : ns3.afraid.org. ns4.afraid.org. ns1.afraid.org. ns2.afraid.org. Verify with your DNS registrar that nameservers for the domain are set correctly. SMTP connection timed out Failed to connect in 10 seconds Check if your system's firewall is blocking port 25.

it appears you do not have any MX records in your zone file
http://www.intodns.com/ushoster.info

you need to correct that first. Is mail enabled for that domain?

it appears your nameservers aren't functioning properly. You will also need to fix this first

16.7% of queries will end in failure at 199.249.121.1 (B2.INFO.AFILIAS-NST.ORG) - returned SERVFAIL code

5.2% of queries will end in failure at 72.20.15.62 (ns3.afraid.org) - failed to resolve ns1.afraid.org due to 72.20.15.62 - query timed out

5.2% of queries will end in failure at 72.20.15.62 (ns3.afraid.org) - failed to resolve ns2.afraid.org due to 72.20.15.62 - query timed out

5.2% of queries will end in failure at 208.43.71.243 (ns4.afraid.org) - failed to resolve ns3.afraid.org due to 208.43.71.243 - query timed out

Ronald had just run your server through intodns.com -- you can go there and put your domain names in there to get a report.

Looking at http://www.intodns.com/ushoster.info, that shows your nameservers/DNS as being okay.

Well, what problem are you having exactly?

While you don't have an MX record, that shouldn't matter, it should attempt to deliver email to whatever your 'A' record is, 71.183.250.107 in this case.

So far as I can see, that IP is listening on port 25 for SMTP connections, which is correct.

What isn't working correctly? And what errors are you seeing in your email log files in /var/log?

I got the following message when i check the server status using check server tool

Server Status for ushoster.info:

HTTP: The website is accessible!

FTP: Connected to the FTP!

MAIL (Pop3): Pop3 connected successfully!

MAIL (SMTP): Failed connecting to SMTP

MySQL: The MySQL seems to be offline.

thank you

Well, I'm able to connect to your email port 25 just fine :-)

If you're seeing some people who can't get to it, it's possible that some ISP somewhere is blocking access to port 25.
