Virtualmin GPL will not install on my server

Hello All, I have a problem trying to install Virtualmin the foll. is the error log

webserver3:~# wget http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/scripts/install.sh --2009-09-25 14:08:50-- http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/scripts/install.sh Resolving software.virtualmin.com... failed: Temporary failure in name resolution. wget: unable to resolve host address `software.virtualmin.com' Thanks for any help

Sounds like DNS on your server may not be working correctly.

Verify that the DNS servers setup in your /etc/resolv.conf file are correct.

Hello Eric. The foll. is the info on my resolv.conf file

domain lan search lan nameserver 208.131.176.126

Any suggestions?

Howdy,

Well, I can't really speak to what nameservers will work for you, as they're generally ISP specific.

What I'd recommend though, is verifying the IP address you see there.

If it's working correctly, whenever you type this command on the command line:

host software.virtualmin.com

You should get a response such as this:

software.virtualmin.com has address 67.228.198.99
software.virtualmin.com mail is handled by 5 mail.software.virtualmin.com.
