Name server problems

I have a dedicated server :

server set up:

Operating system CentOS Linux 5.3 Webmin version 1.470 Virtualmin version 3.69.gpl GPL Theme version 7.1
Kernel and CPU Linux 2.6.18-128.1.10.el5 on i686

Okay my primary domain works fine

But the name servers (ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com) I have set up for it don't work for my new co.za domains, the name servers don't seem to be responding correctly.

They work for my old domains which I restored on the server from back ups that where already set-up for ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com.

But when you register new .co.za domains it checks your name servers respond correctly before setting up the domain at the registrar.

I am not sure what is wrong, but can forward error messages to anyone who can help.

Regards Shane

what are your nameservers? some registrars are very picky.
what is the error message on your box and at your registrar?
What is in the zone-file for the failing domain?

also you should update to the latest virtualmin

edit: this will give you a clear hint what to do first before registering a .co.za domain

I made a few changes and checked and updated my ns1 and ns2 reverse look ups and now it seems to be working.

Thanx for the input
