basically my understanding was that I need to create slave zone to host on vps with master on everydns. How do I make vps know that my sites are hosted on this server while master zone is everydns and vice versa?
everydns is pointing your domains to the IP of your server. Any request is then handled by Apache.
For a domain you register you need to have ns records set by everydns: ns1.everydns.net, ns2.everydns.net, ns3.everydns.net, ns4.everydns.net
In virtualmin there is a module for DynDNS and PowerDNS but Im not sure of EveryDNS. Hopefully Joe/Eric will chime in and explain better then I can. I do know of someone else that is also using EveryDNS successfully, so it is possible.
You can setup Virtualmin to automatically create slave zones (for any provider). I think that's provided by the slavedns plugin. Basically, it just says, "The master will always be ns1.blahblah.com" and Virtualmin will setup a slave zone in BIND to sync to that master.
This assumes, however, that EveryDNS allows you to do zone transfers. I don't know if that's the case.
afaik this isn't possible as it connects through webmin to webmin.
but slave zone is for redundancy and you use everydns so why want a slave zone anyway?

Sorry still a novice.
