Hello all...
I've setup virtualmin (seamless installation, I might add) on a couple centOS 5 servers.
I have a number of IP addresses on the server in question. When I set up virtualmin, it automatically set 1 ip address as shared. I am trying to add a bunch of domains, and I started adding them and setting them to use different ips from my available pool of ips.
The problem is that once i create a site with a specific ip that is not the shared ip, it sets that ip as non-shared, which is not what i want.
basically i want to use all of the IPs and set each one to be shared between 4-5 sites or so.
thanks in advance for your help...
Howdy,
You may need to list the shared IP addresses in Addresses and Networking -> Shared IP Addresses first.
While I haven't done this, I'm guessing at that point that when creating a Virtual Server, that the "IP address and forwarding" section will then provide a drop-down, allowing you to choose what shared IP to put them on.

Thanks for the suggestion...turns out that's exactly what I needed to do, which I kinda had in the back of my mind, but I was hoping there was a shortcut...
I had to delete all of the domains that I had setup on those IPs before they were designated as shared IPs, then set the IPs to shared, and then add the domains again, and this time there was a handy-dandy dropdown list to select the ip I wanted for each domain.
There may be a way to set an IP as shared after it's already in use as non-shared, but I'm thinking that option could end up breaking a lot of things so it's probably best like it is, albeit a tad inconvenient at times...
By the way, I am a VirtualMin convert...I love this system so far, and unless anything drastic happens, I can see myself using this on all of my 'control panel' boxes in the future...
