Mail user or alias already exists?

I messed up one of my virtual hosts by accidentally giving it a parent host, then moving it back. After this happened, I deleted and recreated the host. Now, whenever I go to create a mail user I had before, I get the error "Failed to save mailbox : A mailbox or mail alias with the same name and domain already exists". So far, I have been unable to figure out where virtualmin is getting this information when it is showing no mail aliases and no mail users for the selected domain. I would really appreciate if someone could give me a heads up as to what I need to do to get this mail account created again. Thanks.
