Give the new host the other IP.

Open the "IP address and forwarding" section and set the "Network interface" to "Virtual with IP" and fill in the IP. If the interface is already configured, check the "Already active" box.

hi,

Simply go into virtualmin and click EDIT VIRTUAL SERVER for the server you want to change, then, in configurable settings, select create now with IP and fill in the IP. Save it and you should be okay. Verify that the reassignment is done in the Apache module.

Hope that helps,
Dan

Failed to modify server : The virtual interface IP address is already in use</div>

In fact on create server I checked the &quot;Already active&quot; box.

How can I change the ip if the virtual server has already created and the virtual interface IP address is already in use?

I'm having a similar issue.

I bought a wildcard SSL cert from go daddy:

(Unlimited Subdomains
(Wildcard))

https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/ssl/ssl.asp?ci=9039

I got it to install on my main domain name, but as for subdomains I can't seem to get it to install.

Does anyone know how to install wildcard certificates on virtualmin? I might be missing something here...

Just to further clarify the steps I've taken.

1. Installed the certificate on my main domain name. Used a new IP address by choosing &quot;Create now with IP&quot;. Enabled SSL, hit Save.

2. Installed the certificate. Again, it's a widlcard cert.

3. Added the IP to the shared IP addresses in virtualmin.

4. Added a new subdomain (of the same top level domain). Tried to enable SSL for this domain, but virtualmin will not let me.

I get this error:

Failed to modify server : SSL cannot be enabled unless a virtual IP interface or private port is enabled

How do I enable a virtual interface or private port?

Thanks in advance

Shoot, forgot to say that straight https://mydomainname.com and https://www.mydomainname.com both work and the certificate installed correctly...
