How to forward emails to root to an email address?

At the moment, I use > Webmin > Servers > Read User Mail to check emails to 'root'.

How do I set mail forwarding to an external email address? I can't find it anywhere...

Thanks in advance.

I use usermin since it has a feature which forwards e-mail to a remote address. If you have it installed you could login as root to setup forwarding.

Ooops!

My "I changed it from..." line was wrong, it should look like this,
Webmin > Servers > Postfix Configuration > Mail Aliases

Hi ah...lifes...good,

I changed it from Webmin > Postfix > Mail Aliases
I think root was mapped to "marc" on my standard install, just enter the user or address you want the root-mail forwarded to.

Thanks jaldeguer and Leif!

Leif, actually I did what you did, but by a manual route. I edited /etc/aliases directly. Add root: emailaddress@toforwardto.com

But I realised I'd prefer to keep a copy of the emails to root's mail folder. So, jaldeguer's suggestion solved my problem. I could forward AND still keep a copy on the server.

I seem to remember not too long ago, root user cannot access mail via Usermin. Maybe Jamie has solved that issue.

Thanks again guys!
