Re the latest security bug fix on CentOS 5.0, has anyone yum update to upgrade their kernel yet? Any problems?
OK, I have yum updated my server (CentOS 5) with the latest kernel update. All OK.
kernel.i686 2.6.18-8.1.6.el5 updates
kernel-devel.i686 2.6.18-8.1.6.el5 updates
kernel-headers.i386 2.6.18-8.1.6.el5 updates
Use this sequence:
# yum update yum
# yum clean all
# yum update centos-release
# yum update kernel*
# yum update
