Reason #153849258954126879524721 why we use Linux and not that Redmond Washington product.
I allowed a security update on my windows 2000 and suddenly everone's website certs are showing up expired. WHAT?? even my new one... I checked the date on the PC and the year was 2005. after multiple bootups it still kept changing back to 2005. The system clock/date is correct.
Is this their way of beating the bad boys, to fake post dating the fake certs??? :-P
There's an ntp client you can install on Win2K that will force-update the time to network time.
THanks Tony,
I'll look it up.
But what it's doing is rolling the calendar back to 2005 every time the machine boots.. THe time itself stays untouched and the bios clocks stays correct.
