Hi,
We're using the GPL version of Virtualmin. I'm now at the point where I need to batch create a bunch of users as they exist on our old server. My challenge is that I have no idea what the user's passwords are; I do have the hash though.
So, essentially, I think I need to do this in steps:
1) use the "create-user.pl" script to create the user, password, full name, and quota, within the domain, obviously. 2) use webmin's batch user update function to modify user's password to be the same as the hash on the old machine.
Is this the best way to do this, or is there a better way?
Thanks, Chris
PS - also, I notice that many of the .pl scripts mentioned in the documentation don't exist on my system.
I see one problem, is that the forwarder is getting placed in the mysql login section under the database section. I must be missing something.
thanks
disregard that last reply I just made, the mysql login is just showing the users name like it should, so it has nothing to do with this..
Thanks for pointing this out - this is actually a bug in Virtualmin. Currently forwarding addresses in batch files are totally ignored! I will fix it in the next release though..
