I have gone through the routine of installing PHP4 so I can install scripts. I have commented out php.conf file and made sure lines are not commented in php4.conf. A test page running phpinfo() confirms PHP4 is running.
When trying to install a script it still comes up with the 'needs php4' error message. On the VM system info it states that both PHP4 and PHP5 are running. I've tried restarting Apache and refreshing Virtualmin config but result stays the same. How do I convince Virtualmin we have just PHP4 running?
Hey Chris,
Hmmm...maybe the Apache module needs to be re-configured. Browse to Webmin:Apache Webserver and click on Re-configure Known Modules. Check mod_php4 and uncheck mod_php5. Save it and apply the changes. Then try Virtualmin again.
I didn't think this was necessary, but I'll double check and correct the FAQ.

I had tried this - Webmin thinks only PHP4 is running as well. Actually since I have tried re setting everything Virtualmin will now let me install the script. It still says PHP5 is running on the front page though. However, problem appears to be fixed. Thanks Joe
