Hi.
Just created a new vserver with the tld «.house ». I'm having some trouble with the non-secure website, as it points to the default website, when requesting the server's IP and not the /home/<user>/public_html/index
-file (there is just one index file, which is a php file). The strange thing is, when I visit the secure version (https) it shows the correct index...?
I dont know how to solve this. Any suggestions?
I register it as a issue, so I could be fixed in upcoming releases. These tld's is probably not widely used yet, but they may be in the future.

Howdy -- Virtualmin doesn't actually look at the tld's when setting up a new domain. In fact, you could use an entirely fictional tld if you wanted, that's something I frequently do on my home network.
You are likely seeing a configuration issue of some kind. The documentation here describes how to troubleshoot that particular problem:

Note: Tried to do a redirect, to the secure version, but the redirect does not kick in.

Yeah you aren't seeing the correct website when accessing the domain, the redirect wouldn't work either. You are likely seeing a configuration issue.
My suggestion is to try the troubleshooting docs above, and get it so that the website shows up over a regular http connection.
Once that is working, the redirect to SSL should also work.
Just to verify -- which Virtualmin version is it that you're using there? Is that Virtualmin GPL or Pro?

Hi again.
Created a new server again today, and the IP is replaced witht the asterisk key again. Do you know what to do, to ensure that the IP is set here instead of the asterisk? I have selected the IP when i create the server.

You'd want to verify that all VirtualHost blocks within Apache are using the IP address... none of them should have an asterisk.
It sounds like one has an asterisk, which could be causing Virtualmin to use asterisks for new domains.
It's no problem that you're using Virtualmin GPL, and we're happy to offer additional advice -- but if you had additional questions, you'd actually want to ask those in the Forums.
We monitor the Forums, along with lots of wonderful folks in the community. Thanks!
