Duplicate of information

Hi.

After an update for a while ago, theres duplicate information in my setup. The following two screenshots describes this better than i do:

I haven't made any changes to Virtualmin, but this occured for some updates ago (maybe 4-6 months ago). Hoped that they would dissapear, but they havent. I did an distro upgrade from 12.04 - 14.04 for some weeks ago, but this happened long before.

That's unusual - did you perhaps clone the Virtualmin module, at Webmin -> Webmin Configuration -> Webmin Modules?

Hi. No that I'm aware of. Browsed to the option now and found it hard to accidentally click on. What I can remember this happened after an update where /boot got full and some of the kernels versions was kept back.

But I had a look in the "delete module section" and I found both virtualmin and virtualmin git twice in the list. Should I remove one of them? And which method is safest, so I don't delete the original/correctly configured?

Having "Virtualmin Virtual Servers" listed twice is probably the cause of this.

Have a look in the directory /usr/share/webmin on your system. If there's a symbolic link named like virtual-server2 , try deleting it.

Hi,

Sorry late reply. But I cant seem to find any named virtualmin-server2:

server:/# ls /usr/share/webmin/ | grep virt
virtualmin-awstats
virtualmin-git
virtualmin-htpasswd
virtualmin-mailman
virtual-server
virtual-server-theme

But I can see two listed if I go inn through vm (both vm-server and vm-git): http://bildr.giaever.org/b/scr28102015_205524.png

How about in the /etc/webmin directory?

Unfortunatly not.

server:~# ls /etc/webmin | grep virt
virtualmin-awstats
virtualmin-git
virtualmin-htpasswd
virtualmin-mailman
virtual-server

Let me know if it would be easier to you if I just gave you SSH-access? :)

edit: I also tried updatedb && locate virtual-server2 and it returned nothing.

I've emailed it to you now. Sorry late reply; last months have been stressfull.

Ok, I see the issue - you have a symlink /usr/share/webmin/vserv that has created a clone of Virtualmin.

The fix is simply to run rm -f /usr/share/webmin/vserv
