HI,
When I try to add scheduled backup for individual database from Edit Databases >> Manage >> Backup Database, the email is not getting sent. The backup is working but email notification is not getting sent.
However, If I schedule a backup for all databases from Webmin >> Servers >> MySQL Server >> Backup Databases and specify an email id its working. Also the individual backup notifications are also sent to this email id. If I change email id for individual databases, still email is being sent to the Full backup email id.
I checked the backup.pl script and tried printing the value of $email, but its not printing anything.
I'm not sure if its a bug or a configuration issue. Please check.
Thanks

A one-off backup that you start from your browser will never send email by design - only backups that run on schedule in the background will.

Both of them are scheduled backup. The mail was sent only after scheduling backup from Webmin. Even if I change the email id in Virtualmin >> Edit Databases >> backup, the email is still sent to the Webmin one.

Did any of the backups fail? By default email is only sent on failure.

Backups are not failing. I've set it to sent mail all times, not only at failure. I'll try to give a detailed picture.
Login to Virtualmin >> Select domain from drop down >> Edit Databases >> Manage >> Backup Database >> Specify my gmail id ---> This one doesnot send any mail.
Login to Virtualmin >> Click on Webmin >> Servers >> MySQL Database Server >> Backup Databases >> Specify my yahoo id --> This one sends email to my yahoo id.
Now I get two emails to my yahoo id, one for the individual backup and one full backup.
If I disable second one, the email stops and no emails are sent.
I cant configure individual emails for individual databases. I I configure backup for all db, all the mails are sent to yahoo id.
Please check..

Ok, I think I understand better now.
So in the first case (that doesn't work), I assume you set "Scheduled backup enabled?" to "Yes" and selected a schedule?

Hi there,
I have the exact same issue as described by 'teamrp'. The answer to JamoeCameron's question in #5 is Yes.
Mail log in 'webmin > system > system log > maillog' doesnt show any attempt of sending the notification email when it was supposed to.
Emails for all virtual servers are working correctly. I also tried the test in 'Webmin > Webmin configuration > Sending Email'. The test email is delivered successfully.
Any help is appreciated.

Ok, I see the bug that causes this - it will be fixed in the next Webmin release.

Just posting to confirm that issue is resolved now after upgrading to the new Webmin release (version 1.740) as promised by Jamie in post #7. Cheers.
