Hello,
I usually install on Ubuntu server, but for try something else I just installed on Debian. I noticed 2 things: -when we install virtualmin (on both Ubuntu Server and Debian, maybe all), that would be nice to add by default the IP of the server to "listen" in bind, otherwise it doesn't work, the port stays closed (when I checked with nmap).
-with Ubuntu server, unlike with Debian, I had to create the mailman list every time I installed, it was not automatic (and it's mandatory to create virtual server).

That's odd, the BIND listen IP is supposed to be setup as part of the install process.
What change did you make to the config exactly?

Regarding the mailman issue, if you don't plan to host any mailing lists you can disable that feature in Virtualmin at System Settings -> Features and Plugins.
