I am trying to get the current version of Whmcs and Virtualmin to work so that when a account is added and I click on create it will add the account information to Virtualmin
For the Hostname: Do I put the hostname:port or just the hostname only? Ip Address do I put only the ip address or ipaddress:port number?
Should I click secure? What port should I be using? Is it the standard port 10000?
If I enable secure I get a error message telling me that the connection failed. If I leave it uncheck I get no message but its not adding the account to virtualmin fro Whmcs

Adding a Virtualmin Pro Server
The following steps guide you through the process of setting up a server in WHMCS for Virtualmin Pro Hosting Accounts.
Begin by going to Setup > Products/Services > Servers
Click Add New Server
Enter the hostnamename:port, IP address:port, select the server type "Virtualmin" from the dropdown menu and enter a master admin, that can accept RPC/API calls, username and password for Virtualmin
Click Create Server to complete the process and add your new Virtualmin Server
Add server to Server Group if you have created one.

Howdy -- all the things you're asking about should indeed work, and it doesn't matter if it's being run on Virtualmin Pro or GPL. Both of those should work great.
I don't actually know the answer to your questions off the top of my head unfortunately, though I can do some testing to try and get more information.
The WHMCS folks may be able to assist as well, and are well-versed in setup and debugging of WHMCS.
However, are you using Virtualmin GPL? If so, you would actually want to use the Forums for obtaining support. We monitor those, along with lots of wonderful folks in the community!
Feel free to post a new thread regarding WHMCS setup in the Forums, and between us and folks in the community who have setup WHMCS before, and perhaps with the help of the WHMCS support staff, hopefully we can get your setup up and running.

You may want to make a screenshot of the screen where you setup your template names in WHMCS, and post that screenshot in your Forum post here:
