Modifying SPF record hostname corrupts entry

Changing the hostname for an SPF record as a virtual server administrator deletes the contents of the record resulting in a blank SPF record.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Logged in as a virtual server administrator, create a TXT record called test.example.com and enter SPF information in the contents of the TXT record such as: v=spf1 ip4:208.67.222.222 ~all

  2. After created the TXT record the entry now appears as record type SPF which is expected. Click on the SPF record for test.example.com and modify the record name from "test" to "test2" and click save.

  3. There is now an SPF record called test2 but the contents of that record is now empty.
