Quick Backup

Replicate the solusvm feature that allows users to create a backup of their VPS and place it in the root or sub-folder of their filesystem. This allows you to get a backup of your data any time and download it.

An API command would likely be a good idea as well.

You can grant Cloudmin users permission to make backups of their VMs already, to be saved to any system that they can manage, or a remote SSH or FTP server. It is unlikely we would allow backups to a directory on the Cloudmin master though.

Never asked for it to be on the master. the "quick backup" only put it inside the vm without configuration, just 1 button.

Where is the option if im logged in as root as i dont see it.

So the backup of the VM is placed inside the VM itself? That seems kind of risky ... if it is using roughly more than half of its allocated disk space, a backup to its own filesystem would fail.

Backups can be done at Backup and Restore -> System Backups.

Well it is seen as a simple quick way to get a backup. Maybe add the option to backup to the PC via web download like you do in virtualmin? I am surprised thats not an option.

That's a good idea - I will work on that for the next release.

This has been implemented for inclusion in the next release.
