Good morning folks, I'm new at this so please forgive my ignorance post.
I'm have one prodcution server running apache 2.2.15. I would like to upgrade it to the latest.
However, i never done this before and would like if possible step-by-step on how to upgrade without messing up.

Howdy -- you actually have the most recent Apache version available to your CentOS version.
CentOS backports bugfixes and security updates to the Apache version you have there, so it's fully up to date.
We highly recommend using that particular Apache version.
While it is possible to use other Apache versions, we don't have a recommended way of doing it, and other Apache versions aren't tested.
It looks like you're using Virtualmin GPL there though... the Support area here is for folks using Virtualmin Pro. If you had additional questions about trying a different Apache version, we'd encourage you to post a note into the Forums.
We monitor those, along with lots of wonderful folks in the community!
Of note for your case though is that while most people do stick with the CentOS version of Apache, and that's what we'd recommend, there are a handful of folks who chose to upgrade it for one reason or another, and they may be able to offer tips on how they went about doing that.
