Contradicting recommendations for low memory systems

Hi,
on https://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/system/low-memory the following recommendations are given for SpamAssassin and ClamAV on low memory systems:
"SpamAssassin and ClamAV combine to use a lot of memory. You can reduce their memory usage by going into System Settings - Spam and Virus Scanning, set these two options:
- Set SpamAssassin client program to spamassassin (Standalone program)
- Set Virus scanning program to Standalone scanner (clamscan)"

But in the Virtualmin help (https://myserver.mydomain.tld:10000/help.cgi/virtual-server/spam_client) the following statement can be found:
"Using spamc is typically faster and consumes less memory and CPU."

From my point of view, these statements are somewhat incompatible.

Best regards,
fuggi

Howdy -- thanks for pointing that out!

You're right, and I've corrected the Virtualmin documentation.

Using spamc/spamd uses more RAM, but less CPU.

Hi Eric,
you're welcome! Now it makes more sense and confuses less users. ;)

Hi Eric,
I just reviewed it again and found a minor mistake in the very same sentence now: "Using spamc is typically faster [and] consumes less CPU." I suppose the "and", which I put in brackets, is missing.

fuggi

Thanks, that's been updated, and will be in the next Virtualmin version!
