Install script for Redmine is 1.1.3 however newer stable versions are available

Hi Guys,

The install script for Redmine is 1.1.3 however newer stable versions are available. Do you have any plans to provide the option to installer the newer versions of Redmine?

The installer for Redmine also supports versions 2.1.0 and 1.4.4, in the latest Virtualmin. Which version do you want to install?

Do you have automatic script installer updates enabled? This can be done at System Settings -> Script Installers -> Installer Updates.

Aaaah OK.

I went to that page, all the options were already enabled. So I clicked the Save button. Waited a few minutes while the page reloaded. Page reloaded with no status update message or any indication that anything had changed.

Went back to the install script page and yes, the newer versions of Redmine install scripts are available! Hooray!

If I hadn't clicked the Save button on the Installer Updates page, would the scripts have been updated at some time in the future automatically?

Or do you have to click the Save button to get the updated scripts? If this is the case, this is not great - and I would suggest a change.

Thanks for your help :)

There should be a cron job /etc/webmin/virtual-server/scriptlatest.pl that does the same update automatically on schedule..

Cool. Yes, I can see that. Mine is set to run at 8:39am each day.

Makes sense, this script has not run yet. Virtualmin was upgraded to VMPro yesterday afternoon and checked again < 7:30am today :-)

Ok, mystery solved
