Now that CentOS 6 is out and VirtualMin has had official support for a couple months I decided to do a test install to start doing deployment tests.
During the install process, I encountered a number of on screen errors and warnings. I wanted to report them, and ensure that there's no issues after these warnings/errors, and hopefully improve the process for future installs. :)
I've attached both the virtualmin_install.log and a copy of the screen output.
Additionally, I have a question about a package install. The version of httpd that gets installed is a scientific linux package installed from the VirtualMin repo. What's the difference between that package and the one that ships with CentOS 6?

I'm having trouble uploading the files. I keep getting errors. Is there an email address I can send them to?

I'll let Joe or Jamie comment on the attachment that you posted there.
However, regarding the Apache version that's provided with your Virtualmin install -- both Scientific Linux and CentOS are both just recompiles of RedHat's RHEL distribution, and are nearly identical in every way other than their name.
The Apache version you get is the same Apache version as the folks running RHEL or CentOS would get -- with the exception that Joe compiled it on Scientific Linux, so you may see that name mentioned in the logs -- and that it's compiled to use /home as suexec's working directory, rather than /var/www.

I'm not seeing any serious errors there - just some warning about another yum process running, and an error contacting a third party repository.

Okay. I just wanted to be sure.
Apparently the virtualmin-install.log.txt that I attempted to upload didn't go. I did see this error in that log:
Error occurred while setting Usermin theme: Failed to open PID file at ../web-lib-funcs.pl line 1360.
I'm going to try and attach it again to this post.
Sorry for the frivolous ticket!

That all looks fine to me ..
The best way to check for a successful install is to SSH in as root and run :
virtualmin check-config

Okay, great. I'll go ahead and close this ticket. Sorry again for the randomness :)
