license and outlook smtp problem

Dear Virtualmin,

I reinstalled virtualmin to a new vps provider on centos 6. Now it gives lincense already on 4 systems while one license. I shutdown the other servers en downgraded them to gpl. Does this problem stay or does it resolve itself after one day?

I am also having troubles setting the smtp (that worked before on old system) in outlook. Sending from virtualmin webmail does work perfectly, but an outlook system does noet authenticate on the smtp server from virtualmin. I checked port 25 and other things. Also checked some forums, but I cannot find anything.

Thanx in advance! Bas Huijsen 4AllBusiness

the license warning you're seeing will go away on it's own after a few days.

If you're still seeing that warning next week -- let us know and we can look into that further.

but an outlook system does noet authenticate on the smtp server from virtualmin

Do you get any error messages while doing this? Do any errors show up in your error log, /var/log/maillog?

Perfect

Smtp does work on port 587!!! just checked Is this the best, or is port 25 also good one? how can i enable port 25?

Thanx !!

Great! Port 587 is a good way to send outgoing messages -- it's more secure, and less likely to be blocked by an ISP.

Port 25 should be enabled by default on your server. If you're not seeing it, it's possible that it's being blocked. For example, is your new VPS provider possibly blocking port 25?

Damnn your right!!! It is blocked by my isp. Super, you helped me great. Everything is working as never before! By the way, what a great system Virtualmin!!! Super Thanx

Nice Evening

Great, I'm glad to hear it's all working for you!
