I have just done a Virtualmin Pro install on clean CentOS 6 (x64). After the install (which completed without any errors) I have found some issues with Dovecot.
- Dovecot was not added to automatic startup
- When I try to start and/or stop Dovecot Virtualmin hangs (webpage stops responding)
When I start dovecot from the console I got:
Starting Dovecot Imap: doveconf: Warning: Obsolete setting in /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf:26: protocols=imaps is no longer necessary, remove it doveconf: Warning: Obsolete setting in /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf:26: protocols=pop3s is no longer necessary, remove it
It then start successfully, but I cant stop or restart it on virutalmin. When I do this, the webpage stops responding.

Ok, I see the cause of this .. the Dovecot startup script has changed in behavior in CentOS 6.
The work-around is to SSH in as root and run
/etc/init.d/dovecot start ; chkconfig dovecot on
.I will fix this in the next Webmin release.
