Our website is definitely up - so perhaps something is blocking outgoing connections on port 80 on your system? Do you have a firewall configured?
If you do have a firewall, you'd need to open it up to allow web (port 80) access to www.virtualmin.com and software.virtualmin.com
If you don't have a firewall, then this error indicates network configuration problems.
