wrong site shows up [resolved]

recently I created a site, childfocusafrica.org, on my server using VMPro which does not resolve properly. Every time I type in the url I get choked.ca instead. Choked.ca is the first site in the Apache virtual server section. I have added a new site AFTER childfocusafrica and it resolves just fine.

I have deleted the virtual server and then recreated it with the same problem. There is an old (legacy) post that I've read and which seems to not apply. I've had an exchange in the help for newbies forum at:

https://www.virtualmin.com/node/13774#comment-60062

It isn't getting me anywhere, the control I need seems to not be present.

Please advise.

I just tried to access childfocusafrica.org , but got redirected immediately to http://142.179.54.37/

Does the childfocusafrica domain have an index.html or index.php file in its home directory?

yes, I just checked, it has the under construction initial content from the VMPro menu. index.html

I'm not sure what's causing that, but I'd be happy to take a look at it for you, if you like.

What I can do is log in, and explore the various config files to figure out what's going on.

If that's okay, what I'd need to do is login via SSH. You could either email SSH login details to eric@virtualmin.com, or install the Virtualmin Remote Support module, and enable Remote Support via it.

I read through the doc you referenced here and could not spot a mismatch, look at the thread I referenced above for my looksee. Eric, I'll get back to you tomorrowe I'm on the road and away from my computer, thanks.

The dns was misconfigured. the domain owner registered with godaddy who provide a parked page for a while. the owner has now reconfigured the dns and things "just work." Thanks for your advice.
