Hello,
The "Search Mail Log" page is hanging on my domains. After about 15 minutes the page is still loading and there are no results shown. (using the default search criteria, or any other combination I tried)
I am wondering if I need to trim a log file to a manageable size. To that end, I replaced /var/log/maillog with a much smaller tail of itself (so it just had March entries) but that did not help. (I made sure the user & permissions were the same as before on this file, and saved the old one just in case.)
This did not help at all. Is there something else I should try?
Also if the logs are held elsewhere, can you let me know where they are? Is there a special utility that I need to do view them? (I am thinking of something like exigrep that I used with an exim based system.)
Thanks!
-Bob

Hello,
I opened this ticket a week ago, but there was no reply.
I see that I listed it as a bug report, but I think I should have selected support request I am changing the issue settings now and will be more careful in the future.
Thanks, -Bob.

Hello, it has been 2 weeks and there has been no reply.
I do have a paid virtualmin license. Can someone please let me know how to get a response from technical support??
Thank you, -Bob
This is an odd one, and I'm not sure what would cause it.
Can you have a look at the output of the "top" command while trying to view the log? This might give us a clue about what process is having trouble, and whether it is memory or CPU, or something else causing trouble.
Speaking of which, how much memory does your system have?

Sorry, I must have missed this ticket.
As Joe wrote, it would be useful to see the output from the
top
command.Also, how large is your
/var/log/procmail.log
file?
