For the life of me I cannot figure out how to change the "Format for log file" to a custom value. Trying a value that I know works in a separate Awstats installation fails with the error "No custom log format entered"
I've even tried using values from Awstats default examples and everything I try fails.
In addition, I also expected to find the option to change the LogType, though cannot find how this should be accomplished either. I want to change it to streaming.
I've found no documentation for either issue regarding how Virtualmin or Webmin expects the costum format to be entered or how to select log file type.
Any help would be appreciated.
Chris

This is a virtualmin bug .. it won't let you change that to a custom format.
I will fix this in the next release of the AWstats plugin.
Are you sure you want to change it though? The actual format of the access_log file has to be changed to match as well ..

Yes, I am sure. I change the log file in the Awstats config for the particular domain and have our streaming server upload log files for Awstats.
I had done a separate install of Awstats, however for us it seemed best to have the stats separate for each publishing point and look for an easier and/or quicker way to get Awstats installed and configured. The Virtualmin installation is extremely quick and very easy to configure... well, to a point.
So, being able to configure the custom log file format AND the log type would be tremendous.
Blessings,
Chris

The quick manual work-around till the next released is to just edit /etc/awstats/domain.com.awstats.conf and change the LogFormat line.

Thanks! I wondered where the conf files were stored.
