The problem is that the contents of the email accounts are not migrated to Virtualmin. Everything else migrates ok.
Can you please help me on this?

This sounds like a bug in Virtualmin's migration of Plesk 8 backups.
I would be happy to debug this and provide a fix, but I'd need a copy of the backup file you are trying to migrate. If you could email it to me at jcameron@virtualmin.com , that would be very useful..

Was this from Plesk on Windows, or Linux ?

Ok, looks like it was from Windows. If you replace the file /usr/libexec/webmin/virtual-server/migration-plesk.pl with the one attached to this bug report and re-do the migration, mail contents will come across properly.
This fix will also be in Virtualmin 3.74.

I replaced the file but now I get the error "Restore failed : The specified source is not a Virtualmin backup : Not a valid tar or tar.gz file" in any backup file I try, even the ones I have successfully migrated

Sounds like you are using the Restore Backup page, not the Migrate Virtual Server page. The former is for Virtualmin backups only ..
