Is there a recommended way to add users to the stats page?

Yes .. you should be able to go to Edit Mail and FTP Users -> some user -> Other user permissions , and select the stats directory in the 'Allow access to web directories' field. You could also create a new user and give him access to that directory.

Ok, that would explain it .. the cause is most likely that Virtualmin doesn't know about those protected directories as they were added a while ago.
To fix this, go to Webmin -> Others -> Protected Web Directories, and have it find all protected dirs under /home or /home/yourdomain. This should find the stats dir, and it should show up on the Protected Directories page.

That was my first thought, but I don't see the stats folder in there, for any of the sites.

That's odd .. is the Webalizer feature enabled for those sites?

yeah, it is enabled for all the sites.

If you go to Services -> Protected Directories, does the stats directory show up?

No. That option was added after they were created, if that makes a difference.
