Error creating alias server when "Applying initial website style .."

When attempting to create an alias (mydomain.com.au) of my primary domain - mydomain.com, I get the following error:

Applying initial website style .. Failed to create virtual server : Failed to open /home/mydomain/domains/mydomain.com.au/public_html/index.html.webmintmp.636 : No such file or directory

The alias domain is still created and appears to work, but I'm concerned some of the later creation steps may have been missed?

Why is Virtualimin trying to create an "initial website page" for an alias domain?

Can I turn off these initial website pages entirely?
