centos8 licence apparently invalid

hi

using the suggested script on github, and following instuctions in the cento8 feature request issue, i installed onto centos8, in an awkward vps centre, took several attempts but virtualmin declares my system is ready to use it

i clicked upgrade and entered licence key for serial 5579578 server declared it potentially expired/invalid

The license you're referring to there definitely appears valid.

Could you perhaps share a screenshot of the screen where you're seeing that error? That would help us better understand the contact around that issue. Thanks!

There was a bug that we recently fixed. I have given it a try on clean instance and upgrade worked just fine with latest patches.

Run the following command and then re-run Upgrade to Pro once again:

curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/virtualmin/virtualmin-gpl/master/upgrade.cgi -o /usr/libexec/webmin/virtual-server/upgrade.cgi
sed -i -e 's/\/usr\/local\/bin\/perl/\/usr\/bin\/perl/g' /usr/libexec/webmin/virtual-server/upgrade.cgi
