I have a virtual server in order only to receive my mail because website locates to another server. So i have an A record that points to the server which my website locates. The problem is that when i request a SSL certificate for mail.mydomain.com i receive the following error message
Validating configuration for mydomain.com .. .. errors were found, which will prevent Let's Encrypt from issuing a certificate : BIND DNS domain : The DNS record mydomain.com. resolves to the IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx instead of the virtual server's IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.
Why this happen? I request SSL only for mail.mydomain.com not for www.mydomain.com and mydomain.com
Can i skip this error?
Thank you

You can skip the validation check when requesting a Let's Encrypt cert for the domain.
