Howdy -- thanks for contacting us!

The primary theme is the new Authentic theme, which is very customizable if you want different colors.

You can also use the Virtualmin Framed theme if you want a different look and feel, though that theme isn't under active development.

I'm not aware of other themes in development, though there may be some out there somewhere developed by the community.

Most of the other themes (other than Virtualmin Framed Theme and Authentic Theme) lack the Virtualmin menus, so you give up a lot of usability if using any other themes. We certainly encourage theme development, but it's a quite complex undertaking because of how big Virtualmin is. Authentic theme is tens of thousands of lines of code, for example...it's a large software project in and of itself.

I'll be making a new "minimal" theme next year, but it definitely won't be as nice as Authentic Theme.

But, definitely look into the customization options in Authentic Theme. It allows adding custom logos, choosing custom colors (or from a nice pre-selected set of color themes), etc. You can also do CSS overlays, so you can more heavily customize specific aspects of the theme.

Thanx for the information. Would be nice if you could you use custom colors not predefined colors. feks hex colors so can easly change Color. I am looking for dark blue theme

Best regards Michel

Maybe its there or not, couldn't find it. Would also be nice to toggel dark mode on and off. Easier on the eyes at nighttime. Should be on the dashbord or favorits.

You can toggle day/night mode on the bottom-left of the navigation panel.

Ahhh super nice, actually never noticed it before. Thx a lot for the info.

You can make your own color schemes with the CSS overlays, and there's also a color scheme editor that allows you to rotate the hue, lighten or darken colors, etc. Click on Theme Configuration, and next to the "Navigation Menu Color Palette" click the little sliders icon to open up the editor.

To edit CSS overlays, you can click "Theme Extensions" at the bottom of that page. I don't think there's a list of all of the color-related selectors, though, so it's probably harder to do that that use the color editor. It may be possible to add a color palette editor at some point. I'll ask Ilia next time I talk to him.

Thank you all for great info, it did the trick.
