Title: Hello, alias email or forwarding email don't work if the email have a "Subject" ยป Alias email or forwarding email don't work if the email have a "Subject"

Howdy -- hmm, just about every email should have a subject... but the aliases and forwarding functions don't use the Subject field.

So in theory, the subject shouldn't matter.

Can you show us the logs though for one of the cases where it didn't work?

That is, send an email with no subject to an alias, and then look at /var/log/mail.log ... what messages appear in that log immediately after sending the email?

Okay, in that second case there, it looks like you're attempting to send an email to "promo@elgenero.com", which in turn delivers to the address "promo-elgenero.com@mail.elgenero.com".

Can you describe what the address "promo@elgenero.com" is, and how it was setup?

That is, is it an alias setup in Virtualmin? Is it some sort of forwarding setup in Usermin? Or perhaps some other option?

And can you show us a screenshot of the settings screen where it's configured?

Is a mysterious error because if i forward the email manually the email forward perfect.

IS confirmed if the email don't have a subject the system make the forward.

I'm currently not quite sure, I've never heard of anything like that happening, and I'm honestly not even sure how that might happen... but I'm going to see if Jamie has any thoughts on that, he may have an idea that I'm not considering.

i think this happens after an update but i'm not sure

Does anything get logged to /var/log/procmail.log when forwarding email like this?

hi, I try to change a few things, an them change it back to the way it was and got this error "ERROR: ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server."
